Named for the forest in southern England, where this breed originated, the New Forest pony is one of the recognized breeds of mountain and moorland ponies of the British Isles. They are noted for intelligence, strength, versatility and a quiet, willing-to-please temperament. Of all the native British pony breeds, New Foresters are the least afraid of man.

The common black-hawk is found in the southwestern United States, throughout Mexico, Central America, and northern South America to Guyana. They can also be found in Cuba and The Isle of Pines. Like most other raptor species, common black-hawks are sexually dimorphic, with the females being larger than the males.

The hawksbills shell varies in color, from black-brown, red-brown to yellow. Their undersides are usually white or yellow. Adults are about 24 to 38 inches in length and weigh anywhere from 60 to 190 pounds.
